Please come and give us your input on which street should be done, and why, and find out more about why doing a street plan will benefit Bridlemile and make getting such improvements more likely to happen and sooner. Meeting Notes

After Committee Reports, Michael Boyer the new SWNI Crime Prevention Specialist will introduced himself, his goals for the New Year, and answered a few questions.

Next Bev Vogt explained that Sam Adams believes that the addition of sidewalks to some of our street can be funded probably only by halo LIDS, whereby whole neighborhoods that benefit in the additions of sidewalks help share in the cost of construction of the sidewalks. He wants neighborhood associations to suggest the neighborhood collector streets that need sidewalks in their neighborhoods. Then, from the list of suggested streets, a committee will select most likely candidates for a pilot project that is most likely to have community support and willingness to participate in a halo LID project. In Bridlemile Hamilton and Shattuck are its two collector streets, and after some discussion those attending voted to designate Shattuck from BvHwy to Hamilton, and Hamilton from SW 60th Place to SW 42nd, as the portions most in need of pedestrian improvements. The next step is to form a working committee to do a detailed analysis of those streets and make recommendations for the types of pedestrian improvements along them, if you can help please contact Beverly Vogt .

During the last hour of the meeting we heard from longtime resident Jim Driscoll (great grandson of Henry Dosch) who talked about the History of Albert Kelly, Henry Dosch, and early settlers of Bridlemile.

During the Board Meeting Karen Tabata was approved as Land Use Committee Chair pro tem.
