Hamilton Park Foot Patrol
Ellen Underhill, Michael Boyer, Brian Hughes, and members of the BNA Hamilton Park Foot Patrol will give us a status report on their efforts and upcoming July training for those interested in joining.

Landdivision Proposal for 5803 SW BvHwy
Jeff Wagner of Planning Resources Inc. will talk about their proposal to divide the current 1 lot into 10 lots which will be divided into three row house buildings having 4, 2, and 4 units each at the corner SW BvHwy and SW 56th. Access to parking /garages will be via an alley off SW56th.

Pedestrian Improvements for Hamilton & Shattuck II
Last month Patty Lee, Chair of the Taylor's Ferry Road Vision Plan shared a lot of valuable information, which we will have at the meeting, about their experience in developing the Taylor's Ferry Road Vision Plan which is a great model/template for what we need to for the Hamilton & Shattuck Streets see the BNA Pedestrian Improvements for Hamilton & Shattuck page for more about that. Such a plan would describe what the neighborhood/City could do in the near/lowcost and long/higher cost time frames.

We'll also have maps from PDOT showing the right of way along Hamilton and Shattuck, typically 10-20' on each side of the existing pavement, and talk about various possibilities for using it to improve pedestrian and bicycle safety in the near and long term.

In the immediate time frame big improvements in pedestrian and bicycle safety can easily be obtained (as shown in the photos above) by simply cleaning off existing pavement of: dirt, plants, and overhanging vines which could widen the paved area along Hamilton from 6" to 2' outside of the white lines. PDOT has cut back the blackberries along Hamilton near SW 58th and has scheduled the shoulder to be cleared off too (just don't know when).
