Honeywine-making Workshop @ TLC Farm

Nov 18 2006 - 10:00am
Nov 18 2006 - 12:00pm

Learn to make wild-fermented honey wine! Start your first batch during the workshop ready in time for holiday gift-giving! Gretchen Westlight will demonstrate how to make wine at home, using just honey and water. Tastings of various stages of fermentation will be provided. Handouts will include Portland-area winemaking resources. Demonstrations of key steps will help demystify the process. Participants should bring a one-quart glass jar with a lid if they want to buy organic honey, which will be provided for an additional fee. Experienced wine-makers are welcome to bring samples of their own creations, and whatever wisdom they would like to share.
