Present: Nancy Hand (Chairperson and Public Safety), Sharon Keast (Secretary), Michael Dexter (Transportation) and Portland Police Officer Andrew Caspar
Motions
- MD motioned to approve minutes of last meeting, August 11, 2009. It was approved
- SK motioned Arnold Creek NA write a letter to the City, commenting on proposed apartment building and parking structure development near Lewis & Clark, supporting Collins View and Arnold Creek NA’s concerns. It was approved.
Portland Police Officer (AC) Two accidents occurred at the Stephenson/Boones Ferry intersection, both single car. A third, two-car accident happened just south on Boones Ferry at 13th Court. MD has photos of accidents occurring over the last ten years and would like to share them with the city to advocate for a safer intersection. Building vandalism and play structure arson reported at Stephenson Elementary School. Someone threw rocks at passing traffic on Boones Ferry near Arnold, breaking a windshield. This also occurred about three months ago.

Farm (NH) – September19, Harvest Festival and Benefit Auction.
Trails (NH) 4-T Trail opening in September 19.
Schools (NH) Will Fuller received permission for NA’s to have booths at open house back to school events. Jackson MS - September 29, Stephenson ES - September 14.
Public Safety (NH) Police Reception will be held October 27 at 7pm. Stephanie Adams needs 10 volunteers for graffiti clean up in SW, Oct 17th, 9am-1pm. Call 823-3131.
Transportation
MD will be Arnold Creek NA’s Transportation Committee representative.
Land Use (NH)
- Collins View NA requested Arnold Creek NA to comment on the proposed apartment building and parking structure development near Lewis & Clark. See motion.
- Portland Planning Commission is considering allowing accessory dwellings.
