Book Page Weight setting is missing

Problem: Users with book privileges cannot see the page Weight setting.

Discussion: Currently, in order to show that setting, “Administer Node” privileges are required. The problem with granting those privileges is that it would allow editing of any page created by any user. That is too permissive a feature to add to the Book privileges user role.

Possible workarounds:

1. Use “Page” type instead of “Book Page”
2. Problem might be resolved in Drupal 5.2
3. A Drupal module may exist to enable this setting without “Administer Node” privileges

Workaround discussion: #1 is not a desirable solution. We are hoping for #2, but failing that, a search should be made for #3
