Learn to make your own fermented sodas with non-dairy kefir culture, water, dried fruit, and sugar!  Taste kefir made with different kinds of ingredients!  Gretchen Westlight will present instructions on how to make this enzyme-rich healthful tonic, and offer tastings to demonstrate a variety of delicious dairy-free flavors.

Please help BCS's friends and partners in creek restoration at the St. Andrews Environmental Mission Project do planting and maintenance work on their restoration project in the St. Andrews Parking lot. This work improves the habitat for Restoration Creek which flows through Stonebrook and then Albert Kelly Park.

Description:
This is the monthly meeting of the SW Emergency Preparedness Group. We are a group of citizens working to create disaster-resistant communities by raising public awareness, working with our civic leaders, and educating citizens how to prepare for and respond to natural disasters. We invite anyone with an interest to attend. Our focus is SW Portland, however disasters know no boundaries and we believe in working with neighboring groups and individuals.

Description:
Greg Schifsky of the Bridlemile Creek Steward will show "Wild by Design" Clean Water Services excellent and informative 15 minute video on stream restoration work in Fanno Creek. Bridlemile creeks are part of the head waters for Fanno Creek. Greg will have free native plants in his truck and those interested can pick some up after the meeting. NOTE: Because of the video we will be meeting in the Library this month.

Dress for the weather, and be sure to wear green :-) What better day for developing that green thumb than St Patricks Day! Note that this event qualifies as Community Service hours for students.
