Once again, it is time to mark your calendar for the semi-annual SWNI/SOLV Litter pickup, Saturday, November 3rd, 9:00 am. There is a ton of trash waiting for us on Beaverton-Hillsdale Hwy, Multnomah Blvd (especially the I-5 on/off ramp), Capital Hwy and Bertha Blvd. so I hope you will plan to join us. We need lots of people so please come and bring a friend.

Land Sign Construction Workparties: Join Joel Carver, former-TLC Farm/Cedar Moon resident and design-build whiz, for Saturday workparties focused on constructing TLC Farm's educational land kiosks and signage. Thanks to a grant from the City of Portland's Community Watershed Stewardship Program, TLC Farm will be building these kiosks to better educate visitors to the farm about the various sustainability demonstrations on-site and what TLC Farm is all about. They will be beautifully constructed of salvaged timber and re-used lumber. Come lend a hand, especially if you have some carpentry experience or want to learn!

Learn to make your own fermented sodas with non-dairy kefir culture, water, dried fruit, and sugar! Taste kefir made with different kinds of ingredients!
Gretchen Westlight will present instructions on how to make this enzyme-rich healthful tonic, and offer tastings to demonstrate a variety of delicious dairy-free flavors.
