Learn to transfer leaf color pigments from the source: living plant material. By applying heat and pressure in a variety of direct contact techniques, students will be able to transfer the plant image to their cloth. No additional dyes or auxiliaries are required. We will use traditional Japanese shibori techniques to expand design opportunities. This process is suitable for natural fibers: silk, wool, cotton, linen, etc. No perquisite required.
