4 T TRAIL: TRAIL, TRAM, TROLLEY AND TRAIN

| | | |

The trail is named for Portland’s alternative transportation modes: trail, tram, trolley and train. It is designed to be a tourist attraction that shows off Portland’s diverse transportation alternatives. The trail will start at the zoo, go through the west hills, with some spectacular view stops along the way. Then, walkers will board the tram (for free since it is the downhill leg) and ride to south waterfront. From there people would take the streetcar and MAX back to the zoo, using just one two-zone TriMet ticket.

Join your neighbors and experience the 4T trail during our monthly Urban Trails Walk on Saturday, January 12, 9 am

Our 4T Trail walk for December was cancelled because of maintenance on the tram. Lee Buhler will be leading this hike for January. We will start at the zoo for the proposed 4T Trail (Trail, Tram, Trolley and MAX Train.) The walk will be 4 to 5 miles with approximately 300 ft elevation gain.

Bring money for public transportation.

Only service dogs are allowed on tram, etc so pets will have to stay at home today.

Meet behind bleachers a Wilson High School at 9 am (Sunset Blvd and Capitol Hwy).
