SWNI Neighborhood Coalition

Southwest Neighborhoods, Inc., (SWNI) is a nonprofit coalition that provides support services in seventeen Southwest Portland neighborhood associations and three business associations. SWNI is governed by a board of directors with representation from each neighborhood association and local business association. Funding is primarily from the City of Portland through an annual contract and partially through board fund-raising efforts. These funds help pay for staff, an office, printing, postage, and materials which support neighborhood associations and citizens in their efforts to participate in government processes, maintain quality of life, and fight crime.
