Keeping a neighborhood association running effectively takes quite a bit of dedication and hard work. Southwest Neighborhoods, Inc. recognizes that and is always looking for ways to make that easier and more efficient for our neighbors.

Running Meetings:

There are many ways to run a meeting and we encourage you to facilitate your meetings in the way that is most comfortable for you and your members.

However, it is a good idea to have structure. Robert's Rules of Order can provide guidelines. ONI has an excellent overview to Robert's Rules of Order and how to use them effectively.

Create a welcoming meeting

We all know how hard it is to get someone to attend “another” meeting. If someone has made the commitment to attend your meeting, show them how much you appreciate their time.

The warm summer months are an excellent time to get to know your neighbors better and block parties are a perfect opportunity to gather in public space, relax catch up with old neighbors and meet new neighbors.
