The SW Trails Committee acts as a forum in the community to promote. construction and maintenance of pedestrian and bicycle routes. More specifically, the Group:
• Planned and is constructing a network of urban trails in SW Portland, and seeking easements as necessary.
• Promotes changes to city code that streamline and ease permitting requirements for trails.
• Supports and acts as SWNI’s representative to the city’s Safe Routes to Schools program.
• Recommends actions and positions, as appropriate, to the SWNI Board.
