You are invited to join your neighbors and friends for a Movie in the Park & Community Fair brought to you by the Maplewood Neighborhood Association in partnership with Southwest Neighborhoods Inc and Portland Parks and Recreation.

Activities & Concessions: 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Movie: starts at dusk

Movie In The Park - Missing Link

  • Please join us throughout the evening with live music.
  • Join local volunteers at community outreach tables to learn more about your neighborhood non-profits.
  • Food will be available for purchase via cash or credit at several food carts. Free popcorn will also be available.

Maplewood Neighborhood Association (MWNA) has been selected by Portland Parks and Recreation Summer Free For All (www.portlandoregon.gov/parks/61921) to host a Movie in the Park event featuring Laika Films new movie “Missing Link” (www.laika.com) on Saturday, August 24, 2019.  Activities begin at 6:30, the movie begins at dusk.

Each year, the Movie in the Park draws hundreds of neighbors and visitors to April Hill Park. In addition to the movie, there will be live music, activities, food carts and free popcorn. This year, MWNA will celebrate a special election that was held in 1919 to authorize the incorporation of the Maplewood Water District.

This annual event is a great way to get to know your neighbors. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact us at outreach@maplewoodna.org.
 

The movie will be shown on the lawn, please bring your blankets and low backed lawn chairs. 

Please be environmentally friendly and consider bringing your own water container.

Please leave your pets at home.

Please pack it in/pack it out and place your trash/recycling in the appropriate containers, your neighborhood volunteers will be cleaning up the park and your efforts to keep it beautiful are appreciated!
